Many organization’s believe diversity prevents them from being effective and efficient, especially in specialist teams such as testing. It makes it difficult to manage because not everyone is the same. This session has been designed to challenge those organisations and help demonstrate that by embracing diversity it could make the team better! We will look at key components of a ‘jelled’ team and common distractors and communication channels within a team. Then, looking at the four types of tester, profiles such as Belbin, DISC and Myers-Briggs will be described in relation to testers. Equipped with this information, Julie shows how you can get your team to use their different individual talents/styles to your team’s advantage.
