This is the story about how a test organisation went from great to good and back to even better!
This presentation is based on a case from my company, where the testing organisation went from being strong and vocal, to almost losing its identity.
I will talk about our journey to get back on top of things. How we one day got out of bed and decided to bring the professional competence and coolness of testing back into our organisation. I will share our experience on how we got the team spirit back and present some of the methods we used going about it.
I will discuss how we got an active test community up and running within the company, and how this helped improving the competences of the testers involved. What challenges we were facing along the road to become better testers, and how exploratory fishing improves testing.

I graduated from the university in 2007 with a master’s degree in computer science. Fortune lead me to a career in software testing. I’m a senior test engineer at Systematic, where I work in Defence Products. I’ve been working mostly as a test engineer and a test architect, but have also dabbled with test automation tools and test environments. Lately, I’ve been getting into test management and mentoring of new testers, as well as co-leading our knowledge network for testers.
