Janna Loeffler faced this challenge immediately after joining Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI). She started her new job in 2015, responsible for leading the testing effort on some of Disney’s most complicated show and interactive systems. She describes the history of software development and testing within WDI, the guiding principles she uses to drive software quality, and the key decisions she has made along the way to improve the way WDI develops and tests show software.   • Janna Loeffler Position - Test Engineer , The Walt Disney Company, USA

    Janna has over 15 years of software quality experience. She graduated from Iowa State University in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering.  From there she has gone on to work with companies like Medtronic, Boston Scientific, Gambro, Campus Management, and Emerson Process Management. In 2011, she joined The Walt Disney Company’s Parks and Resorts Digital division.  She joined Walt Disney Imagineering as a Senior Software Test Engineer in 2015, and has since taken on the role of Quality Lead, overseeing development operations and software testing for Ride Control Systems.
