Women In Testing-->
At EuroSTAR this year, the Conference will feature a special session examining, discussing and sharing thoughts on breaking stereotypes for women in testing. This event will feature a talk from Kristine Stenhuus, VP of NNIT.
Kristine will discuss the role of women in tech in general, how these roles have been shaped by stereotypes and what we can do about it. Kristine will share some of the stories of women working in NNIT. How can tech companies better encourage women to both work in the tech sector but create paths for them to rise to management level and higher.
Find out on Wednesday 8th November at 15:30 at EuroSTAR 2017 Expo Hall.
Here are a few words from the Conferences Committee member Alexandra Schladebeck on the event.
“Join us for the first women in testing event at EuroSTAR on Wednesday 8th November at 15:30 in the Expo Hall! You are invited to this session if you identify as a woman, or if you are interested in learning more about how to become aware of issues for women testers and how to be allies.
The session will kick off with a short introduction, then we will have Kristine Stenhuus from NNIT talking about breaking stereotypes for women in tech. We’ll also be asking attendees to tell us about their experiences and suggestions for improvement within the Eurostar community.
As the organizer of the session, I’m pleased that we’re taking steps to have a forum for this at Eurostar. Let’s meet up, listen and learn from each other, and share experiences to help each other.
See you in Copenhagen!”
