Self-Service Quality: Everything I Learned from Open-Source QA

Gáspár Nagy

11:30-12:15 CEST Thursday 15th June

To build a complex software requires the coordinated work of many people: testers, developers, business people and many more. To make this happen, enterprises build up hierarchies, introduce processes, set and review responsibilities. I am always fascinated to see that some open-source projects can also make great achievements with random people working together from different countries, time zones and cultures. Is there anything we could learn from these open-source projects? I think one of the key principle of these open-source projects is that you should be able to serve yourself with quality measures.

In this talk I will collect all those ideas that I have learned in open-source projects that might be also useful in enterprise projects as well.
