Bring Your Coffee and Lean in – Diversity and Inclusion

Fiona Østensvig

Tone Molyneux

09:00 - 09:45 CEST, Thursday 18th June

Our goal is to foster collaboration and curiosity around diversity and inclusion. We are inviting participants to broaden their perspectives together with us. We aim to explore and celebrate a wide range of diversity dimensions— gender, LGTBIQA+, age, ethnicity, neurodiversity, physical and mental abilities and other areas that trigger our delegates interests.

The importance of “more diversity” is often discussed in the context of driving innovation, creativity, better decision-making, and ultimately, improved performance and growth. However, diversity on its own does not automatically lead to these outcomes. How to achieve this goal?

This “Lean coffee” concept is divided in two parts:

Information gathering and collaboration

We do this in the Huddle (using flip charts, pens, and post-its) during Tuesday and Wednesday.

We will collaborate and collect valuable information and perspectives on topics such as: Professional, cognitive, cultural, educational, and ability-based diversity, as well as ideological and value-based differences.

Visit the stand to share key words and insights, which will be brought to the “Lean Coffee” session on Thursday.

Culmination and discussion

Thursday’s meeting format combines structure with flexibility, allowing participants to democratically generate the agenda and decide which topics to discuss. This will be based on topics gathered during our Information gathering in the Huddle.
