Denmark

The Danish Software Testing Board aims to promote knowledge of software testing amongst software professionals in Denmark. It also aims to support ISTQB Certified Testers and aid in the development of ISTQB testing. DSTB conducts regular meetings, accredited courses, and an annual conference. This association also develops and translates ISTQB syllabus and exam questions.

England

The BCS SIGiST was established in 1989 to further the interests/education of software testers, and is now the the largest non-profit testing community in the UK. They organise SIGiST conferences and meetings regularly, both online and in person. The events connect leading thinkers on the topic of testing with practitioners; they are an opportunity to hear about new problems, ideas and techniques. The BCS SIGiST also contribute to industry standards, other BCS groups, and the wider testing community.

Finland

We work with both the Finnish Software Testing Board and the Finnish Association for Software Testing (FAST), know as “TestausOSY” in Finnish. We support the annual Testing Assembly conference organised by the FiSTB each November and were delighted to be there in-person in 2023.

Separately, our friends in TestausOSY began supporting the local Finnish community as far back as 2001 through events, the “Tester of the Year” award, and a testing eMagazine. You can join their LinkedIn group.

Netherlands

TestNet is the independent association for professional testers in the Netherlands. It is a thriving organization with over 1900 members. TestNet was founded in 1997 as a network organization of, by and for testers, as a result of people meeting at EuroSTAR. TestNet offers its members the opportunity to build and maintain contacts with other testers outside their immediate work environment, thus sharing knowledge and experience from practice. TestNet has steadily grown and is now one of the largest independent organizations of IT-professionals in the Netherlands and probably in Europe. Through their website and the weekly email-newsflash TestNet publishes many news-items, columns and articles written by members.

Norway

The Norweigan Computer Society or DND – Den norske dataforening is the largest special interest society for information technology (IT) in Norway. It is an open, independent forum for Norway’s IT professionals and advanced IT users. The society encompasses the IT industry, corporations in general and research and development institutions. DND is an independent and wholly self-financed society with more than 10,500 registered members and more than 1,200 company members.

Poland

Stowarzyszenie Jakości Systemów Informtycznych – The Association for the Quality of Information Systems is the most significant non-profit organization in Poland building public awareness about software quality. The society was founded in 2003 as a community body for IT professionals. Today represents a local community for international organizations like ISTQB and IREB. With hundreds of followers on social media, more than 300 participants at its conference each year and many other non-formal meetings can reach the majority of Polish IT professionals active in the field of software quality and testing. Portugal

The Portuguese Software Testing Association was born in  2010 (originally known as  ComTest.pt) and they held their first national meeting of the Portuguese  testing community and this was considered the first Testing Portugal Conference. They were recognised by the ISTQB – International Software Testing Qualifications Board and became the PSTQB from 2011. Romania

Tabăra de Testare, The Testing Camp in English, is a community of 2000+ testers and other professionals from the Romanian IT industry. Their goal is to facilitate sharing of knowledge and lessons learned in testing. Scotland

The Scottish Testing Group was originally started in 2002 with the aim of connecting testers and those working in quality across Scotland. Sweden

SAST, Swedish Association Software Testing, is the biggest Swedish non-profit, independent test organisation with over 4.500 members. SAST aims is to create forums for knowledge & experience exchange between testers in Sweden. It was started in 1995 and has three regional organisations including SAST Vast who partner with EuroSTAR.
