What if I let AI Write my EuroSTAR Submission

Magnus Pettersson

10:00 - 10:45 CEST Friday 6th June

Can we use AI for that? Will talks at EuroSTAR be written by AI in the future?

I started to look into if I could get three different AI models to write different models and strategies for testing. Some of the output I got was interesting and usable, but some was not. Then it struck me, what if I asked these AI models to write me various texts for a EuroSTAR submission?

I sat down and tried to form a few different prompts that should generate various amounts of text for an assumed conference submission. Some prompts were to generate scaffolding that I could then build on, but I also asked for an entire abstract. The three AI-models I put on trial are ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and Googles Gemini.

For this presentation I will talk about what these experiments resulted in. In a playful way I will ask questions like: Will AI replace speakers at EuroSTAR? Will we lose our jobs to this new, technical revolution, or is it just a tool that, like so many others, is only as good as the person who uses it? Serious topics with a humorous touch.

For the audience this will give an opportunity see me put three different AI to the test and see if I manage to get some content that might actually be useful as a conference submission, or at least help me write one that would get accepted.
