The Hague is easy to reach from anywhere in the world. It is located within easy access to both Schiphol and Rotterdam international airports and delegates can avail of the excellent train network in the Netherlands.

Schiphol Airport (Amsterdam) to The Hague

There are frequent direct trains from Schiphol Airport directly to The Hague Central Station. You do not need to leave the airport, just follow the signs to the train station directly beneath the central plaza of the airport. For exact schedules and journey planning please see

There are two types of direct train from Schiphol to Den Haag.

  • Intercity (IC) – 29mins approx. journey time
  • Sprinter (RE) – 53mins approx. journey time

There are also trains that change in Leiden Centraal – 41 mins approx. journey time

Train Tickets €8.50- €15.00 one way

A taxi would €100-€130 from Schiphol Airport to The Hague.

Rotterdam Airport to The Hague

Travelling by public transport you can take Bus 33 (every 20 mins) from directly outside the arrivals hall. The 33 bus will take you to the Meijersplein metro station and from there you can take the E metro to Den Haag Centraal. Approx. 30mins journey time by metro to the city centre of The Hague.

Bus ticket €2.00 and Train ticket €5.00-€10.00

A taxi would be €50-€65 from Rotterdam Airport to The Hague.

Getting to the World Forum by Tram

The World Forum is easily accessible by public transport and  these are the tram stops within walking distance:

From The Hague Central Station (CS):
Take tram no. 16 direction Statenkwartier. You get off at the Statenplein stop which is 750m from the World Forum.

From The Hague Hollands Spoor (HS):
Take tram no. 1 direction Scheveningen Noorderstrand. You get off at the World Forum (Noord) stop which is 400m from the entrance to the World Forum.

Driving within The Hague
The city of The Hague has a longstanding policy in place aligned with its ambition to convert the city into a low-traffic, green and liveable city.The main means of transportation for the Dutch are by public transport or by bicycle. Traffic congestion is relatively low and if it occurs, this may happen before towards the end of business hours of working days.

World Forum has its own spacious parking garage. It is located adjacent to World Forum so you arrive directly at the venue. The maximum vehicle height for the garage is 2.00 metres.

The following standard rates apply for the parking garage:

Day ticket (12 hours) € 14.00

Exit cards for the garage are available through the front office of World Forum or you can pay at the payment terminals in the parking garage (payment per hour) using your debit card or credit card. Please note that it is not possible to pay with cash.

Congress Card
The public transportation company HTM avails of a specialised Congress Card. With this card, delegates are able to ride on all trams and buses in The Hague area during the conference period. This card will be printed with the name of the congress and the date it holds valid. Furthermore, a city plan detailing the various travel networks will be provided alongside the card.
