28 Years of Testing – Still Learning

Rikard Edgren

14:00 - 15:00 CEST, Thursday 18th June

I started doing software testing 1998 and I still love it. A lot of things have changed, and a lot of things are the same.

What is continuous is the importance of learning, perhaps the number one trait for a tester. Some learnings are more defining than others, and in this presentation I will share some highlights after 28 years of testing, including:

  • My very first testing session
  • Getting sharpened by colleagues
  • My biggest mistake
  • The very best lesson of lessons
  • New directions with AI

What comes next in software testing is hard to say, but I bet that learning will be a key part.
