Over three decades, EuroSTAR has been connecting the international testing community. We’ve evolved into a welcoming and inclusive community of software testers and QA professionals, hosting the biggest in-person software testing events in Europe – and we’re thrilled to have everyone on board! EuroSTAR is a welcoming space for first time attendees and experienced conference goers alike.
Along the way, we’ve seen and learnt a lot – after all, when we first started in 1993 computers looked like this and Mark Zuckerberg was still 11 years away from launching Facebook. Together with our attendees, our expert speakers, and a global network of testers, we’ve helped shape and lead the way in moving the testing community forward. October 1993 A STAR is born
The first ever EuroSTAR Conference takes place in London in October 1993.

Dec 1996 TestNet is founded
TestNet, the Dutch Special Interest Group in Software Testing (SIGIST) is founded at EuroSTAR 1996.

Nov 1998 EuroSTAR Awards
The first EuroSTAR Testing Excellence Award is presented to Martin Pol.

Dec 2009 Test Lab is formed
The Test Lab is formed at EuroSTAR 2009 by James Lyndsay & Bart Knaack, and has since become a focal point at many international conferences on software testing.

Nov 2011 Community Dinner
A new EuroSTAR Community dinner is held in Manchester in 2011; an opportunity for attendees to renew acquaintances and forge new friendships in a relaxing atmosphere.

Nov 2012 10,000 testers
EuroSTAR celebrates 10,000 attendees to date. We’ve welcomed testers from all corners of the industry – QA specialists, business analysts, CIOs, managers, test analysts, and lots more.

Nov 2013 20 year club
Dorothy Graham is the inaugural member of the EuroSTAR 20 Year Club – or as we like to call them ‘EuroSTAR Legends’. These are members of our community who have attended 20 or more EuroSTAR conferences.

Jan 2014 Huddle launched
EuroSTAR Huddle is created to provide easy access to the amazing learning resources co-created by incredible testers within our community.

Nov 2015 Mobile Deep Dive
In recognition of the huge shift to software for mobile devices, EuroSTAR hosts a Mobile Deep Dive – a 1 day Mobile Testing Conference in the MECC, Maastricht on Nov 6th.

April 2016 EuroSTAR Roadshow
The EuroSTAR team keynote speakers and award winners take to the road to visit the Polish software testing community in Warsaw.

Mar 2017 Inaugural UKSTAR
UKSTAR conference is hosted in London – and it’s so popular we brought it back in 2018 and 2019.
