Andrew Brown

Dr Andrew Brown is an independent test consultant. He leads an independent line of research into understanding why we humans make the mistakes that lead to software defects.

He has 25 years’ experience in the software industry. Previous roles include Consultant, Trainer, Head of QA at HMV, Head of QA at a financial software house and a test manager in Japan.

He holds a degree in Physics and Maths, an MBA from Warwick Business School and a doctorate from Imperial College.

Michael Bolton

Michael Bolton is a consulting software tester and testing teacher who helps people to solve testing problems that they didn’t realize they could solve.

He is co-author (with James Bach) of Rapid Software Testing (RST), a methodology and mindset for testing software expertly and credibly in uncertain conditions and under extreme time pressure.

Paula Bassagañas

I am an IT Architect based in Barcelona, specializing in Test Engineering and Backend development. My career spans various industries, with a focus on the health sector, where I have developed data platform test strategies, particularly for ETL processes.

Currently, I am working on implementing AI in testing to enhance automation and efficiency. I have extensive experience in DevOps, backend development, cloud computing, and testing methodologies to ensure high-quality software.

Additionally, I teach at Pompeu Fabra University, mentoring future IT professionals. I am committed to continuous learning and sharing my knowledge to drive growth and excellence.

Fran O’Hara

Inspire, Ireland

Fran has over 35 years experience in the software industry having worked in development, test, management and now consulting. He co-founded Insight Test Services which was subsequently acquired by Sogeti. Fran now specialises in pragmatic approaches to lean/agile adoption, quality/testing, and associated practices. He works with a wide variety of clients helping to upskill teams and support improvements in their ways of working.

He is a regular speaker at international conferences and seminars. Fran is a Certified/Professional ScrumMaster, Professional Product Owner, an ISTQB testing tutor at advanced level, and previously a CMMI and TMMi lead assessor.

He co-organised Agile Tour Ireland and co-founded the Irish SIG in Software Testing – SoftTest. His tutorial ’Metamorphosis: Moving To Agile And Staying Agile’ won best tutorial at EuroSTAR Stockholm.

Sander van Beek

I’m a technical tester that focuses on automation. To me, a test that’s worth doing is also worth automating. I combine my technical expertise with the human and organizational sides of testing. Technical solutions are great, but the bigger challenge is making people use them at scale.

I think it’s fun to create something new. I think complexity is fun and more complexity is more fun. I use my programming skills to tame complexity.

Emna is a passionate tester from Tunisia, who started her career in IT in 2015. She got the chance to work on multinational projects combined between testing and quality coaching roles. Currently, she works at Sogeti France.

She is an international speaker and workshop facilitator. She has spoken at several testing and agile conferences. She has contributed to 2 books, one as a co-author and one as translator.

Eveline is a Senior Agile Quality Coach and Quality Engineer from the Netherlands with over 20 years of experience in testing and quality engineering. She has contributed to the book Quality for DevOps Teams and leads quality engineering initiatives, facilitates workshops, and coaches teams on improving quality during digital transformations.

She is passionate about finding new ways to help organizations focus on quality and testing. Eveline regularly speaks at industry conferences, sharing her insights and engaging with the community.

Ashish is a Test Automation Architect with over 12 years of experience in the Testing industry, renowned for his technical expertise, functional insights, and DevOps prowess.

At ING Bank, Ashish has played pivotal roles in revolutionizing testing landscape, currently leading the Test Center of Excellence and spearheading Functional and Non-Functional testing streams.A passionate advocate for knowledge-sharing, Ashish has a growing following on Medium and GitHub.

He has created over 60 GitHub repositories featuring starter guides and CI/CD solutions. Additionally, he is the creator of INGenious, an open-source, modern low-code test automation framework built on top of Playwright.
