He is the author of the book “Basiswissen KI Testen” (Fundamentals of AI Testing).

While working on Austria’s largest IT insurance project, he quickly recognized the vital role of software testing. This insight led him to pioneer a new, no-code approach to test automation, empowering business users to take part in the testing process.

In 2007, he founded Tricentis, which went on to become Austria’s first unicorn, boasting over 1,000 employees, $450 million in revenue, and a valuation of $4.5 billion.

Today, Wolfgang mentors emerging companies, helping them navigate the complexities of the business world. One of his greatest rewards is seeing those he has guided grow into leadership positions.

He remains at the forefront of modern technology, having delivered keynotes on cutting-edge topics such as blockchain, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence.

As a manager turned software engineer, he continually chips away at the boundaries that separate the two disciplines. Anupam is currently uncovering testing principles that are applicable to AI augmented software. The non-deterministic nature of AI software, its stochastic behaviour and the need to evaluate subjective outputs present new challenges to the field of software testing. When he is not stuff like this, you’ll find him engrossed in a game of online chess, running long distances with a History podcast, or curled up in a corner with a book.
