Kimberly Snoyl

UX Researcher & Sr. Tester – Capgemini, Netherlands

Kimberly Snoyl is a senior software tester with nearly 8 years of experience in Testing, and also added the role UX Designer to her skillset since 2020. With a Masters in Human Media Interaction, she focuses on UX Testing, and gives a Usability Testing course to her colleagues. She is leader of the UX Testing Guild at Capgemini, which aims to spread awareness amongst testers on the importance of UX Testing (e.g. Usability and Accessibility testing). She also started a chapter of Ladies that UX in Utrecht, the Netherlands which has the goal to bring the UX community in Utrecht together by providing monthly meetups where members can share their experiences.

Zoran Gjorgiev

Zoran Gjorgiev is a passionate explorer of the testing world, currently working as a Senior Quality Assistance Engineer at InnoGames. His journey began as a Community Manager for Forge of Empires, but his passion and efforts towards the game’s quality standards lead him to join the ranks of QAE. He finds QA a peculiar role which beyond testing knowledge and automation, benefits heavily from coaching and engagement with the whole team. He embraces challenges and strives for growth both on a personal and team level. Seeing the team take on the quality mindset is what keeps him motivated.

I have worked as Technical Test Analyst with helsenorge.no (national ehealth portal in Norway) since 2014. I focus primarily on test automation and security testing and have obtained 6 technical ISTQB certifications during 2014-2021. I have presented some of our work at top-ranked peer-review academic conferences such as ASE2021, ASE2020 and QRS2020.

Dr Andrew Brown is a principal consultant at Expleo. He leads an independent line of research into understanding why we humans make the mistakes that lead to software defects.

He has 25 years’ experience in the software industry. Previous roles include Head of QA at HMV, Head of QA at a financial software house and a test manager in Japan.

He holds a degree in Physics and Maths, an MBA from Warwick Business School and a doctorate from Imperial College.

Helmut Pichler

Inno Consultant – Nagarro, Austria

During his long career, Helmut has given presentations on software testing at numerous conferences (also he was cooking at EuroSTAR conf in the past 😉 ). He is a passionate trainer and responsible for the entire training program at Nagarro. He is co-author of the book “Agile Testing” and a veteran in the international tester community. Due to the ever-increasing need to convert classroom training into remote training, Helmut often conducts in-depth workshops on collaborative tools. He enjoys passing on his experience, especially with regard to new technologies. He is also President of the Austrian Testing Board (the ISTQB® representative for Austria), which is responsible for software testing certifications.

Jean-Paul Varwijk

Jean-Paul Varwijk is a software tester who worked in various IT roles throughout his career. As such he was and is involved in software testing since 1998 he worked on all levels of testing from team- , management- to enterprise-level. While currently employed as senior Scrum Master for several teams he is still involved in the quality community and keen to keep enhancing the testing craft. As a speaker he has given key notes, tutorials, workshops and presented talks at several dozen conferences and in multiple countries and loves to share is latest ideas and experience with you at EuroSTAR.
