Jean-Paul Varwijk is a software tester who worked in various IT roles throughout his career. As such he was and is involved in software testing since 1998 he worked on all levels of testing from team- , management- to enterprise-level. While currently employed as senior Scrum Master for several teams he is still involved in the quality community and keen to keep enhancing the testing craft. As a speaker he has given key notes, tutorials, workshops and presented talks at several dozen conferences and in multiple countries and loves to share is latest ideas and experience with you at EuroSTAR.

Emna Ayadi

Test Coach – Sogeti, France

Emna Ayadi is a QA Coach from Tunisia. She started her career as a tester 6 years ago and got the chance to work on different projects combined between testing and coaching roles. Currently she works at Sogeti France. She is a Ministry of Testing meetup organizer in Sfax and Lille. Outside of work, travelling is her favorite pastime but while everyone is working from home, her hobby has become travelling via food.

Ard Kramer

Ard is a software tester from the Netherlands and he is working for OrangeCrest Consulting. He calls himself a Qualisopher which stands for someone “who loves truth and wisdom and at the same time is decisive to improve man and his environment”. This means he is interested in the world around us, to see what he can learn and he can apply in software testing. His dream is to participate, as a good qualisopher, in all kinds of projects such as sports, culture, or software testing. Projects which add value to our community: he wants to inspire other people by cooperation, fun, and empathy and hopefully bring light to someone’s life.

Brijesh Deb

Brijesh Deb has over 2 decades of experience of leading, managing and coaching teams on Software Testing and embracing the Agile mindset. Being a hands-on software tester has also helped him stay close to technology and understand the intricacies. He has been involved in testing of applications from lightweight mobile apps to the large scale industrial IoT solutions. He works with some of the top most high tech companies providing everyday solutions in the Automotive, Avionics, Semiconductor, Space, Agriculture and Energy sectors to name a few.

Brijesh is an Agile Transformation Agent with the objective of helping organizations in achieving customer excellence with a focus on delivering maximum value to customers, stakeholders and teams. Emphasis on cultural change driven by collaboration at all levels to adapt the agile mindset and change. He lives in the Netherlands with his wife and 3 years old son. In his free time, he loves singing nursery rhymes with his son. He’s a wordsmith and loves to write on social media, especially LinkedIn. He has a passion for anthropology and loves to study human behaviour.

Alexandru Cusmaru

Test Lead – Siemens Mobility, Germany

Alexandru Cusmaru is a passionate tester with more than 12 years experience in testing, integrating, and validating safety-related railway software and systems. In the past, he was the responsible integrator for the ETCS (European Train Control System) Project in Belgium. Currently, he leads a team of testers for Siemens Mobility in Braunschweig and is constantly looking for new ways to improve their test activities. In his spare time, Alexis also a crowd tester, an American football fan and always looking for a new hoppy IPA to “test”.

Eduard Enoiu

Senior Lecturer – Mälardalen University, Sweden

Eduard Enoiu is a senior lecturer at Mälardalen University in Sweden and a researcher at the Software Testing Laboratory. A native of Bucharest, he earned an Engineer’s degree from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest in 2009 and a PhD in software testing from Mälardalen University in 2016. His interests span software engineering and empirical research, especially testing, maintaining, evolving, and assuring industrial software. He is currently doing research on a diverse array of topics, including the ethical and human aspects of software testing, the role of test automation in industrial practice, and the nature of creating efficient and effective tests.

A seasoned technologist, and a continuous learner, Vimmi has more than 14 years of experience in software engineering. She is leading Centre of Testing Excellence and working as head of Emerging QA practice at Nagarro. A passionate QA, blogger, trainer, speaker, Vimmi is dynamic, self-motivated leader and believes in delivering value driven software quality. She has deep knowledge and experience in Performance Testing, Test Automation, DevOps and proven QA delivery experience in different SDLC models like Agile, V model, waterfall. She is passionate about community driven learning specially in the area of technology. She is leading the local chapter for Ministry of Testing, esteemed member on advisory board for CPSAT and active speaker with QA communities like STeP-IN, QAI STC, AgileTestingAlliance.

After a circuitous route into IT, Keith Yorkston has spent the last 22 years involved with software quality and risk. Cutting his teeth early in technical testing, Keith went on to work as a consultant and trainer across the world. He currently works as an independent consultant specializing in performance and security.

Isabel Evans

Student and Consultant – Freelance, United Kingdom

After more than 30 years in IT, on software industry projects, quality and testing practitioner Isabel Evans is now a part-time post graduate student at the University of Malta. Her research focuses on human factors in test automation, studying the interactions of people, systems, tools and technology. Her interest in this topic arose from real life experiences as a test manager, quality manager and test consultant. Isabel authored Achieving Software Quality through Teamwork and chapters in Agile Testing: How to Succeed in an eXtreme Testing Environment, The Testing Practitioner, and Foundations of Software Testing. A popular speaker and storyteller at software conferences worldwide, Isabel has chaired EuroSTAR (2019) and HUSTEF (2018), as well as presenting tutorials and keynotes at conferences world-wide. She is a Chartered IT Professional and Fellow of the British Computer Society, and received the 2017 EuroSTAR Testing Excellence Award.
